Differences between PubEAST/PubWEST and Patent Public Search

Operator precedence

While similar, the precedence for the order of operations is different between Patent Public Search and PubEAST/PubWEST.

For example, in Patent Public Search ADJ takes higher precedence than NEAR. In PubEAST/PubWEST, ADJ and NEAR have the same precedence. When both are present in a query, whichever is closer to the start of the query (to the left) will take precedence.
